BARBADOS

At a mere 166 sq miles, Barbados is an island of limestone & coral island that sits on the outside of the Caribbean island chain, benefiting from it’s position with cooling tradewinds that blow across the island. While English is the main spoken language, Barbados caters for guests from around the world.
Grantley Adams International Airport is located about 20 minutes south of Beachy Head, while Bridgetown is a 45 minute drive. Six Roads is the heart of St Philip with supermarkets, gas stations, stores and the local flavor of the eastern side of Barbados. There is a local transport system of buses and vans that criss-cross the island – a journey on these is an experience in itself – but it’s easy to find your way around – if you get lost, look for the bus stop signs – they will either say ‘out of town’ or ‘into town’ – town being Bridgetown, the capital city.
The beauty of Barbados is in it’s diversity from the urban, bustling city of Bridgetown to the glitz and glamour of the west coast, the hip and trendy south coast to the rugged, authentic east – it’s never boring and there’s always something to discover. We want our guests at Beachy Head to experience our island the way we do, and we’re always happy to share a recommendation or help you make your time in Barbados truly memorable.
